Homelessness in Connecticut continues to rise: the most recent statewide count shows 3,735 people experiencing homelessness, a nearly 10% increase over last year. Even more alarming, the number of people sleeping outdoors, in cars, or in places not meant for habitation has increased 45% in just one year. As the holidays and year-end approach, the contrast between those celebrating and those searching for safety becomes impossible to ignore.
